Two kinds of reviews are included:
Reviews from people you specifically asked to leave feedback. These carry extra weight in your score.
Reviews left without an invitation. These count toward your score at their normal weight.
Both types matter. Invited reviews simply count for a little more.
How your score is calculated depends on how many reviews you have so far.
Early on, your score is calculated fresh every time, using all of your reviews. We combine your organic and invited reviews — giving invited ones their extra weight — and measure that against your total number of reviews. This gives the most accurate picture while your review history is still small.
After you've collected enough reviews, recalculating everything from scratch each time isn't necessary. Instead, your existing score is updated using only the new reviews you've received since the last update. The new reviews are added in (with invited ones again counting for more), and your previous score is carried forward as part of the new result. As part of this, older reviews gradually carry slightly less weight over time. This keeps your score reflective of your recent reputation rather than being permanently anchored to feedback from long ago.
Your score doesn't update every single day. After it's been refreshed, it stays the same for a set period before it's eligible to update again. If you check your score shortly after it was last calculated, you may see no change yet — this is expected. New reviews you receive in the meantime will be reflected the next time the score refreshes.
